Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs): 1 April 2022, Reopening Border Bus Services

There are two options as of April 1, 2022:

  • Option 1: Take VTBS bus and the tickets must be book online
  • Option 2: JB-Singapore Shuttle Bus service: No need to be the ticket. This shuttle bus service is between JB CIQ and Woodland checkpoint. This bus service accepts ManjaLink card and CASH (please prepare the exact fare if you pay by cash. Boarding from – SGD2 or boarding from Malaysia – RM2)

The bus service frequency is approximately 15 minutes interval and is subject to traffic and custom clearance condition.

The bus fare are as follows:

  • SG- MY: SGD2 per ticket
  • MY- SG: RM2:00 per ticket
  • For VTBS bus service boarding from Queen Street Terminal/Larkin Sentral, you must buy the VTBS ticket.
  • For Causeway Link Cross Border Shuttle Bus service, you can board without VTBS ticket and pay the bus fare on the spot.

Passengers MUST follow their VTBS departure time to board the bus.

Yes. You may inform to the driver if you decide to drop off at Woodlands CIQ or BSI CIQ.

If passengers missed out the VTBS after immigration clearance, passengers can take the shuttle bus service to cross the Causeway.

Latest information will be provided upon confirmation of our regular cross border bus services (CW1-CW7).

No need. You can pay tickets on the ground or you may pay your bus tickets via ManjaLink card. Other payment options will be updated from time to time.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs): Causeway Link Vaccinated Travel Bus Service (VTBS)

Tickets are available at Causeway Link website.

Passengers are required to be at the boarding area at least 1 hour (Larkin Sentral) / 30-45mins (Queen Street) before travelling time for the pre-departure processing.

All documents must be printed including bus tickets to be shown during bus boarding and Immigration clearance. For more information, please check Causeway Link VTL.

Effective February 8, 2022, passengers are only allowed to book two-way tickets.

Please check our online booking page for the availability of our bus seats.

  • Adult fare (12 years old and above)
    • SG to MY : SGD15 (RM45)
    • MY to SG : RM 20 (SGD6.60)

 

  • Child fare ( 12 years old and below)
    • SG to MY : SGD8.00
    • MY to SG : RM10.00

For now, we are covering the route between Queen Street Terminal in Singapore and Larkin Sentral Bus terminal in Johor Bahru, Malaysia

You must print out your bus ticket (order summary) to show during the pre-departure process as well as upon boarding our bus to our bus driver. You may also need to show your bus tickets to the immigration officer upon entering or exiting the border of each country.

Passengers are strictly not allowed to change seat during the journey. Passengers must follow their seat number stated in their bus ticket for contact tracing purposes.

As much as possible, we encourage all passengers to fill up their details correctly. Amendments can only be made for Name OR Passport Number ONLY. The ticket can only be updated once (in one submission). For any error or minor typo on your date of birth, nationality, gender, and passport expiry please inform our operation staff on the ground during your check-in process.

This restriction is required to ensure that our self-amendment feature is not being abused.

As a friendly reminder, please make sure you key in all your details carefully and accurately when booking your VTBS tickets. For minor errors, please log in to your account page to update the errors accordingly.

Passengers will be denied boarding the bus and crossing the causeway. Passengers are required to get medical attention as soon as possible.

Tickets are non-refundable, non-transferable, or non-exchangeable. Should the VTL program be canceled for any reason (by authorities), the passenger who has purchased the trips will be entitled to a refund.

Please be advised that our tickets must only be obtain from our website. Any other ticket purchased from other parties are not the responsibility of the company.

Passengers are encouraged to be at the bus terminal for at least 1 hour before their travelling time. Passenger must print out all their travel documents needed to show during the check-in time.

We will be required to check all customer’s documentation before allowing for customers to board, so we wish to remind all passengers that they will need a hardcopy of their bus tickets including other requirements needed by under the VTBS.

You are advised to bring with you your old and new passport during the check in process. Amendment is not required for as long as the name appears on both passport is exactly the same.

If the error is just minor, then there will be no problem. For as long as other details from your passport matched to your bus ticket details. Please immediately inform our bus captain on ground during the check in process on the error for them to check from their passengers list as well.

We don’t allow passengers to use nickname or alias to book their bus tickets. This is to ensure that all passengers are using their own identity especially when contact tracing is required. Any amendment must be done via your account page.

You are allowed to board the bus however please check with your Country of Immigration Department or the country where you are visiting if they allow you to enter the country with less than 6 months validity on your passport.

You may show your photocopied travelling documents, but our bus captain has still need to see your original passport (whether old or new) to confirm your identity matched together with your bus tickets.

Please be advised that our bus tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. Reselling or transferring the bus ticket to another passengers is strictly not allowed.
