With the introduction of Vaccination Travel Lane (VTL) between Singapore and Malaysia via land transport thru the First Link, passengers are allowed for quarantine-free travel between two countries.

Singapore to Malaysia VTL Land Requirements

Travellers must be within the following basic criteria to be eligible for VTL Land:

  1. Malaysian Citizen, Malaysian Permanent Resident, Holder of a Malaysia-issued Long-Term Pass
  2. Fully vaccinated with WHO Emergency Use Listing Vaccines. Unvaccinated children below 12 years old MUST be accompanied by vaccinated adults.
  3. Hold an Accepted Proof of Vaccination with QR Code. Eg: TraceTogether, MySejahtera
  4. Travellers must remain in either one country for at least 14 consecutive days before departure

All passengers are subjected to effective immigration procedures, rules and regulations during immigration clearance at point of entry. Passengers who fail to comply will be denied of boarding the bus.

  • Pre-Departure

    • Traveller must buy tickets online at least 3 days before date of travelling. Traveller must buy tickets online at least 3 days before date of travelling. Traveller must provide the information as same per passport during online ticket purchase.
    • Traveller must register their information at https://mysafetravel.gov.my/ at least 3 days before arrival
    • Traveller must have a valid negative pre-departure COVID-19 ART or PCR test result certificate (electronic or physical copy). Pre-departure test must be within 2 days before departure for Malaysia.
    • Traveller must install MySejahtera app with their updated profile

  • Pre-Boarding at Queen Street Terminal

    • Passenger to check in at least 30 minutes to 45 minutes earlier of departure time at Queen Street Terminal
    • Passenger to show the following to Causeway Link Staff before boarding the bus:
    ✔ Bus ticket (physical copy is required)
    ✔ Passport
    ✔ Vaccination Certificate with QR Code (via Notarise portal/HealthHub/TraceTogether/MySejahtera and hardcopy is required)
    ✔ A negative Pre-Departure Test (PDT) result (physical copy is required)

  • Exiting Singapore Woodland Checkpoint (WCP) & Entering Malaysia Bangunan Sultan Iskandar (BSI)

    Traveller must bring along their belongings with them during immigration clearance.

  • Arrival In Malaysia

    Traveller to Drop off at Larkin Sentral Bus Terminal for VTL on arrival testing registration.

Special Note: Travellers must carry along an electronic or physical copy of the documents applicable to them, and be prepared to present them to immigration officers and Causeway Link staff before boarding the bus. Passengers who fail to comply will be denied of boarding the bus.

Malaysia to Singapore VTL Land Requirements

Travellers must be within the following basic criteria to be eligible for VTL Land:

  1. Singapore Citizen, Singapore Permanent Resident, Holder of a Singapore-issued Long-Term Pass (i.e. Work Pass Holders*, Student’s Pass Holders, or Long-Term Visit Pass Holders)
  2. Fully vaccinated with WHO Emergency Use Listing Vaccines. Unvaccinated children below 12 years old MUST be accompanied by vaccinated adults.
  3. Hold an Accepted Proof of Vaccination with QR Code. Eg: TraceTogether, MySejahtera
  4. Travellers must remain in either one country for at least 14 consecutive days before departure

  • Pre-Departure

    • Traveller must buy tickets online at least 3 days before date of travelling. Traveller must provide the information as same per passport during online ticket purchase.
    • Traveller (long-term pass holders travelling from Malaysia to Singapore only) apply Vaccinated Travel Pass at https://go.gov.sg/vtl-portal at least 3 days before arrival.
    • Traveller must submit their SG Arrival Card (SGAC) with electronic Health Declaration Card (eHDC) at https://eservices.ica.gov.sg/sgarrivalcard/ within 3 days before arrival
    • Traveller must prepare a valid digitally verifiable vaccination certificate issued by Malaysia, or any other digitally verifiable vaccination certificate accepted by Singapore under the VTL-Land in English
    • Traveller must have a valid negative pre-departure COVID-19 ART or PCR test result certificate (electronic or physical copy) in English. Pre-departure test must be within 2 days before departure for Singapore.

  • Pre-Boarding at Larkin Sentral Bus Terminal

    • Passenger to check in at least 1 hour earlier of departure time at Larkin Sentral Bus Terminal
    • Passenger to show the following to Causeway Link Staff before boarding the bus:
    ✔ Bus ticket (physical copy is required)
    ✔ Passport
    ✔ Vaccinated Travel Pass (physical copy is required)
    ✔ Vaccination Certificate with QR Code (via Notarise portal/HealthHub/TraceTogether/MySejahtera and hardcopy is required)
    ✔ A negative Pre-Departure Test (PDT) result (physical copy is required)

  • Exiting Malaysia Bangunan Sultan Iskandar (BSI) & Entering Singapore Woodland Checkpoint (WCP)

    Traveller must bring along their belongings with them during immigration clearance.

  • Arrival In Singapore

    Traveller to drop off at Queen Street Terminal in Singapore for VTL on arrival testing registration.

How to Book the Designated VTL Land Bus Ticket?

 

Things to know by passengers:

  • Passengers must provide the same information as per passport during online ticket purchase.
  • Passengers are required to be at the boarding area at least 1 hour (Larkin Sentral) / 30-45mins (Queen Street) before travelling time for the pre-departure processing.
  • All documents must be prepared in a physical copy to be shown during bus boarding.
  • Passengers must bring along their belongings with them during immigration clearance.
  • Passengers must submit their SG Arrival Card (SGAC) with electronic Health Declaration Card (eHDC) before arriving Singapore Woodland Checkpoint (WCP). Learn how to fill up the SGAC here.

  • Passengers from 0 – 3 years old are required to have VTL bus ticket and not required to have seats.
