With the introduction of Vaccination Travel Lane (VTL) between Singapore and Malaysia via land transport thru the First Link, passengers are allowed for quarantine-free travel between two countries. Effective from 1 April 2022, VTL will be renamed to Vaccinated Travel Bus Service (VTBS).

Singapore to Malaysia Fully Vaccinated Traveller Requirements
(From 1 April 2022)

Fully vaccinated travellers must be within the following basic criteria to be eligible for Vaccinated Travel between Malaysia and Singapore:

    1. Fully vaccinated vaccinated travellers with COVID-19 vaccines recognised by the Ministry of Health (MOH) Malaysia. This includes short-term visitors from other countries, who would like to travel to Malaysia for all purposes of travel. Click here to check the definition of vaccination status.
    2. Children aged 12 years and below will qualify for quarantine free travel under the Vaccinated Travel into Malaysia without the need to show proof of vaccination. The age of the child will be based on the calendar year.
    3. Download the MySejahtera app and create an account
    4. Fill-up the digital pre-departure form via the ‘Traveller’ icon on MySejahtera
    5. Verify your digital COVID-19 vaccine certificate (for travellers with vaccine certificates issued overseas)

All passengers are subjected to effective immigration procedures, rules and regulations during immigration clearance at point of entry. Passengers who fail to comply will be denied of boarding the bus.

  • Pre-Departure

    • Traveller must buy tickets online at least 30 minutes before departure time. Traveller must provide the information as same per passport during online ticket purchase
    • Traveller must install MySejahtera app with their updated profile
    • Traveller must fill-up the digital pre-departure form via the ‘Traveller’ icon on MySejahtera

  • Pre-Boarding at Queen Street Terminal

    • Passenger to check in at least 30 minutes to 45 minutes earlier of departure time at Queen Street Terminal
    • Passenger to show the following to Causeway Link Staff before boarding the bus:
    ✔ Bus ticket (physical copy is required)
    ✔ Passport
    ✔ Vaccination Certificate with QR Code (via Notarise portal/HealthHub/TraceTogether/MySejahtera and hardcopy is required)
    ✔ MySejahtera Traveller Form

  • Exiting Singapore Woodland Checkpoint (WCP) & Entering Malaysia Bangunan Sultan Iskandar (BSI)

    Traveller must bring along their belongings with them during immigration clearance.

  • Arrival In Malaysia

    Traveller to Drop off at Larkin Sentral Bus Terminal.

Special Note: Travellers must carry along an electronic or physical copy of the documents applicable to them, and be prepared to present them to immigration officers and Causeway Link staff before boarding the bus. Passengers who fail to comply will be denied of boarding the bus.

Malaysia to Singapore Fully Vaccinated Traveller Requirements
(From 1 April 2022)

Fully vaccinated travellers must be within the following basic criteria to be eligible for Vaccinated Travel between Malaysia and Singapore:

    1. Fully vaccinated with accepted COVID-19 Vaccines for Entry to Singapore. Unvaccinated children below 12 years old MUST be accompanied by vaccinated adults.
    2. If you are Fully Vaccinated and Recovered Traveller (had tested positive for COVID-19 between 7 to 90 days before your date of departure for Singapore), please refer to the Singapore SsafeTravel – VR Protocol Checklist.
    3. Travellers are strongly encouraged to complete the online SG Arrival Card (SGAC) with Electronic Health declaration before departure, up to 72 hours before arrival in Singapore.
    4. Install and Activate TraceTogether.

  • Pre-Departure

    • Traveller must buy tickets online at least 30 minutes before departure time. Traveller must provide the information as same per passport during online ticket purchase.
    • Traveller must submit their SG Arrival Card (SGAC) with electronic Health Declaration Card (eHDC) at https://eservices.ica.gov.sg/sgarrivalcard/ within 3 days before arrival

  • Pre-Boarding at Larkin Sentral Bus Terminal

    • Passenger to check in at least 1 hour earlier of departure time at Larkin Sentral Bus Terminal
    • Passenger to show the following to Causeway Link Staff before boarding the bus:
    ✔ Bus ticket (physical copy is required)
    ✔ Passport
    ✔ Vaccinated Travel Pass (physical copy is required)
    ✔ Vaccination Certificate with QR Code (via Notarise portal/HealthHub/TraceTogether/MySejahtera and hardcopy is required)
    ✔ A negative Pre-Departure Test (PDT) result (physical copy is required)
    ✔ COVID-19 Medical Travel Insurance for Short-term visitors ONLY (physical copy is required)

  • Exiting Malaysia Bangunan Sultan Iskandar (BSI) & Entering Singapore Woodland Checkpoint (WCP)

    Traveller must bring along their belongings with them during immigration clearance.

  • Arrival In Singapore

    Traveller to drop off at Queen Street Terminal in Singapore.

How to Book the VTBS Bus Ticket?

Things to know by passengers:

  • Passengers must provide the same information as per passport during online ticket purchase.
  • Passengers are required to be at the boarding area at least 1 hour (Larkin Sentral) / 30-45mins (Queen Street) before travelling time for the pre-departure processing.
  • All documents must be prepared in a physical copy to be shown during bus boarding.

  • Passengers must bring along their belongings with them during immigration clearance.
  • Passengers must fill-up the digital pre-departure form via the ‘Traveller’ icon on MySejahtera before arriving Malaysia.

  • All costs and risks of buying the bus tickets are borne fully by the passengers.
  • Infant passengers including toddlers are required to have seats and must have VTL tickets.
  • Availability of seats is based on the daily quota and scheduled services.
