Starting 1 October 2026, Causeway Link will officially transition to a fully cashless payment system across all Causeway Link Cross-Border and Feeder Bus Services.
Passengers will no longer be able to pay with cash onboard. Instead, simply tap your contactless card or use the LUGO App to enjoy a quicker, safer and more convenient boarding experience.

By introducing cashless payments, we can reduce boarding time, minimise queues at busy boarding points, eliminate the need for exact change, and provide a faster, more seamless travel experience.

Cashless Implementation Timeline
Transition Period – 1 August until 30 September 2026
Passengers are encouraged to begin using cashless payment methods before the official implementation date.
During this period, Customer Service staff and Cashless Ambassadors will be available at selected locations to assist passengers with downloading the LUGO App, purchasing tickets and learning how to use the new payment methods.
Fully Cashless – Starting 1 October 2026
Cash payments will no longer be accepted onboard all Causeway Link Cross-Border and Feeder Bus Services.
Please ensure you have one of the accepted cashless payment methods before boarding.

Option 2 – Purchase a Single Journey Ticket via the LUGO App
Perfect for tourists, occasional travellers or passengers without a ManjaLink Card.
Purchase your ticket anytime through the LUGO App and receive a boarding QR Code for your journey.
Available from 1 August 2026.
Option 3 – ManjaLink Kiosk.
Perfect for passengers who prefer to purchase their ticket on-site at Singapore.
Simply select your destination at the ManjaLink Kiosk, complete your payment using your preferred cashless payment method, and receive your ticket instantly for boarding.
How to Use a Single Journey Ticket
Getting started is simple.
Step 1
Download the LUGO App.
Step 2
Tap on “Single Journey Ticket” under Home apps and follow the steps to purchase ticket
Step 3
A boarding pass QR code will be generated immediately
Step 4
Scan the QR Code at the bus card reader when boarding.
Step 5
Continue using the same QR Code throughout your journey until you reach your destination. (including the connecting buses between customs)
Still Prefer to Pay with Cash?
During the transition period from 1 August to 30 September 2026, passengers may continue to use cash when travelling on Causeway Link services while preparing for the transition to cashless payments.
From 1 October 2026, Causeway Link will be fully cashless, and cash payments will no longer be accepted on all Causeway Link Cross-Border and Feeder Bus Services.
We encourage all passengers to switch to one of our accepted cashless payment methods before the implementation date for a smoother and more convenient travel experience.
