1. What is changing?

Causeway Link is transitioning to a cashless payment system across our Cross-Border and Feeder Bus Services.

Passengers will be able to pay using:

  • ManjaLink Card
  • Contactless Debit Card
  • Contactless Credit Card
  • ManjaPay via the LUGO App
  • ManjaPay QR Payment
  • Single Journey Ticket purchased through the LUGO App

Self-service ManjaLink Kiosks will also be introduced at selected locations for ticket purchases and ManjaLink top-ups.

2. Why are we going cashless?

Going cashless provides a faster, safer and more convenient travel experience by:

  • Faster boarding
  • Shorter waiting times
  • No need for exact change
  • Secure cashless transactions
  • Better overall passenger experience

3. When will cash payments no longer be accepted onboard?

The transition period runs from 1 August to 30 September 2026.

From 1 October 2026, cash payments will no longer be accepted onboard all Causeway Link Cross-Border and Feeder Bus Services.

During the transition period, passengers are encouraged to start using cashless payment methods.

4. Which bus services are affected?

The cashless payment initiative applies to:

  • All Causeway Link Cross-Border Bus Services
  • Causeway Link Feeder Bus Services

5. Are bus fares changing?

No. Bus fares remain the same.

Only the payment method is changing.

Passengers using a ManjaLink Card may also enjoy additional fare savings and exclusive promotions.

6. Can I still pay using cash?

Cash payments will only be accepted at designated ticket counters during the transition period.

From 1 October 2026, cash payments will no longer be accepted.

7. I only have cash. What should I do?

If you only have cash, you may purchase your bus ticket at the designated Cash Ticket Counter located at:

  • CIQ Bangunan Sultan Iskandar (BSI), Johor Bahru

After purchasing your ticket, simply use the QR Code provided to board the bus.

8. Can I buy my ticket online?

Yes.

Passengers can purchase Single Journey Tickets anytime through the LUGO App.

9. What payment methods are accepted onboard?

Accepted payment methods include:

  • ManjaLink Card
  • Contactless Debit Card
  • Contactless Credit Card
  • ManjaPay
  • ManjaPay QR Payment
  • Single Journey Ticket purchased via the LUGO App

10. I’m a tourist or occasional traveller. Do I need a ManjaLink Card?

No.

Tourists and occasional travellers are encouraged to download the LUGO App and purchase a Single Journey Ticket.

11. What is a Single Journey Ticket?

A Single Journey Ticket is a digital bus ticket purchased through the LUGO App.

After purchase, a QR Code will be generated for boarding.

12. How do I use a Single Journey Ticket?

  1. Download the LUGO App.
  2. Purchase your Single Journey Ticket.
  3. Save your QR Code.
  4. Scan the QR Code when boarding.
  5. Continue using the same QR Code throughout your journey where required.
  6. Enjoy your ride.

13. How long is a Single Journey Ticket valid?

Single Journey Tickets are valid for 3 hours from the time of purchase or activation.

14. Can I get a refund if my Single Journey Ticket expires?

No. Single Journey Tickets are non-refundable once purchased.

15. Can I purchase multiple tickets in one transaction?

Yes.

Passengers may purchase multiple Single Journey Tickets in one transaction.

16. How do I use my Debit or Credit Card onboard?

Simply tap your contactless Debit or Credit Card on the payment terminal when boarding.

Please ensure your card supports contactless payments.

17. What is a ManjaLink Card?

The ManjaLink Card is a stored-value transit card that allows passengers to pay quickly and conveniently on Causeway Link bus services.

18. Where can I purchase a ManjaLink Card?

ManjaLink Cards are available at:

  • Selected Causeway Link counters
  • Customer Service counters
  • Designated sales locations
  • Online via Lazada and the Causeway Link online store

19. How do I reload my ManjaLink Card?

You can reload your ManjaLink Card at:

  • Designated reload locations
  • Selected Customer Service counters
  • ManjaLink Kiosks (where available)

20. What if my ManjaLink Card has insufficient balance?

You may:

  • Reload your ManjaLink Card before boarding, or
  • Use another accepted payment method such as a Debit Card, Credit Card or ManjaPay.

21. What if my Debit or Credit Card is declined?

You may use:

  • Another Debit or Credit Card
  • A ManjaLink Card
  • ManjaPay via the LUGO App

22. Will staff be available to assist passengers?

Yes.

Customer Service staff and Cashless Ambassadors will be available at selected locations to assist with:

  • Downloading the LUGO App
  • Purchasing Single Journey Tickets
  • Using cashless payment methods
  • General enquiries

23. What should I do before travelling?

Before travelling, we recommend that you:

  • Ensure your ManjaLink Card has sufficient balance.
  • Bring a contactless Debit or Credit Card.
  • Download and register the LUGO App.
  • Purchase your ticket in advance whenever possible.
