Johor Bahru, Malaysia — myBAS Johor Bahru, a key player in the city’s public transportation network, opened up a pop-up registration counter during the Classical Composers Chronoporter event on October 30-31, 2024 held at the Permaisuri Zarith Sofia Opera House, the first opera house in Johor Bahru.

The event attracted a large turnout, with many students and their parents or guardians in attendance, demonstrating significant community engagement. myBAS Johor Bahru’s pop-up counter aimed to promote the myBASKonsesi card, offering free registration for students and senior citizens to enjoy unlimited rides across all myBAS Johor Bahru services.

According to Sonny Cosme, the PR and Marketing Specialist of Handal Indah Sdn Bhd, the company behind myBAS Johor Bahru, “Participating in this event is a great way for myBAS Johor Bahru to reach a broader audience, especially the beneficiaries, such as senior citizens and students in Johor Bahru, providing them with access to unlimited free rides.”

Ms. Elyse, the Operating Director of Perpetual Arts and the event organizer, expressed her gratitude for the collaboration, stating, “The participation of myBAS Johor Bahru is a great addition to our event, helping us reach out to our audiences for the free myBASKonsesi card, especially during this Merdeka Month. Handal Indah Sdn Bhd has been operating myBAS Johor Bahru since 2022, under the initiative launched by Agensi Pengangkutan Awam Darat (APAD) under the Ministry of Transport Malaysia.

For those who missed the pop-up counter, myBASKonsesi registration is also available at selected counters of Causeway Link and ManjaLink in Johor Bahru, including KSL City Mall, Gelang Patah Bus and Taxi Terminal, Senai International Airport, Kulai Bus Terminal, TF Value Mart in Nusa Bestari, and at TUTA Bus and Taxi Terminal Information Counter.
