Melaka, 20 May 2026: Handal Indah Sdn Bhd (“Handal Indah”) organised a BAS.MY Melaka roadshow and registration counter at SMJK Tinggi Cina Melaka, held at the school’s Dewan Terbuka on 13 and 20 May 2026. The programme aimed to introduce students to available bus services in Melaka while encouraging greater use of public transportation for daily travels.

The initiative kicked off on 17 April 2026, when the BAS.MY Melaka team visited the school to conduct an introductory briefing and an interactive Q&A session with students and staff. The session provided an overview of BAS.MY Melaka, along with guidance on the use of the “Kad Konsesi” and trip planning through the LUGO mobile application.

Following the initial session, a registration counter was set up at the school on 13 May, allowing interested students to sign up for concession cards and gain free unlimited ride to BAS.MY Melaka for their commuting needs.

Due to continued interest from the school community, the BAS.MY Melaka team returned on 20 May to reopen the registration counter. The high turnout reflected a growing awareness among students of public transportation as a practical travel option for their daily commutes.

The school administration expressed its support for the programme, highlighting its role in helping students become more familiar with public transport systems such as BAS.MY Melaka. They noted that early exposure can contribute to more informed and independent commuting choices, while also encouraging more sustainable travel habits among students.

Through this continuous outreach, Handal Indah remains dedicated to supporting efforts in promoting a more efficient and sustainable public transportation system while fostering awareness among the younger generation.
