Melaka, 12 March 2026: Handal Indah Sdn Bhd (“Handal Indah”) organised a BAS.MY Melaka roadshow at SMK Malim, held at Dewan Al-Khawarizmi from 11 to 12 March 2026. The programme aimed to introduce and promote the benefits of BAS.MY Melaka services, which is operated by Handal Indah, among students while encouraging the use of public transportation.

Throughout the two-day event, students attended a talk and briefing session highlighting the BAS.MY Melaka initiative, including its accessibility, convenience, and cost-saving benefits. Special emphasis was given to the free unlimited ride offered to eligible students, making daily commuting more affordable and efficient.

In line with the initiative, students were also encouraged to cultivate the habit of using public transport as part of a sustainable lifestyle. Following the briefing, students had the opportunity to register for the Kad Konsesi at the dedicated registration counter. Registration was offered free of charge using MyKad, while a fee of RM10 was applicable for those opting for the ‘Kad Konsesi (pink card)’.

The school administration extended full cooperation and strong support towards the programme, recognising its potential to ease traffic congestion during peak hours in front of the school. Additionally, the initiative provides financial relief to both students and parents by reducing daily transportation costs. The roadshow concluded successfully, marked by a special visit from YB Allex Seah Shoo Chin (Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri (ADUN) Melaka bagi kawasan Kesidang) on the final day, further highlighting the importance and impact of the initiative within the local community.

Through this roadshow, Handal Indah continues to support efforts in promoting a more efficient and sustainable public transportation system while fostering greater awareness among the younger generation.
