Melaka, 7 June 2026 – “Handal Indah”, the network operator for BAS.MY Melaka, participated in the Wakil Rakyat Untuk Rakyat (WRUR) Programme for the Kesidang State Constituency, held at SJK(C) Bachang.

As part of the programme, Handal Indah operated a registration counter for the BAS.MY Melaka Concession Card and 30-Day Unlimited Travel Pass. It provided members of the public with the opportunity to register and learn more about the benefits offered under the BAS.MY Melaka initiative, increasing the accessibility of public transportation for the residents of the Kesidang constituency.

The registration counter received encouraging support from local residents, particularly among eligible groups seeking to benefit from the government’s public transport assistance programme. Through the Concession Card programme, eligible Malaysian citizens are entitled to enjoy unlimited free travel on BAS.MY Melaka services. The programme covers four beneficiary categories: senior citizens aged 60 years and above, primary and secondary school students, persons with disabilities (OKU), and higher education institution (IPT) students.

The programme was also attended by Allex Seah (A Member of the Melaka Executive Council). expressed his strong support for Handal Indah’s efforts in promoting the use of public transportation among the people of Melaka.

Handal Indah remains committed to strengthening and promoting the use of public transport. To sustain this momentum, Handal Indah will systematically deploy BAS.MY Melaka registration booths across upcoming WRUR programs in other constituencies, ensuring that the socio-economic benefits of efficient public transit reach every corner of the Melaka community.
