Shah Alam Bus Terminal

This terminal started as a temporary bus station after the Independence Day of Malaysia in 1957 from the British colony. In May 2019, this terminal which is now Terminal 17 has started its full operation as an intercity bus terminal. It is located at Jalan Jenulung 17/21, Seksyen 17, 40200 Shah Alam, Selangor. The terminal is just beside the roadside.

Shah Alam Bus Terminal is operated by Shah Alam City Council and it is equipped with a Terminal Management System for a systematic and smooth 24-hour operation. This terminal caters to express buses that travel to and from south and north terminals traveling within the Peninsular Malaysia.

This bus terminal has better facilities to provide convenience for the passengers. Passengers will enjoy the comfort of an air-conditioned waiting area, small shops, food outlets, washrooms and prayer rooms for the Muslims.

The terminal has also other mode of public transport aside from bus, commuter can also opt to go for taxi to get to their next destination.

Since the beginning of this terminal about 192,000 people (as of 2019) have used the facility and about 35,000 bus tickets were sold monthly. There are about 5,400 bus trips to and from the terminal every month from various public bus transport service providers.
