1.    LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort


LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort is the first of its kind in Asia and is the first international park in Malaysia since its opening on the 15th of September 2012. This attraction is popular not only for locals but also for international tourists especially for nearby countries like Singapore, Thailand, China, Hong Kong, Philippines and other parts of Asia. 

LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort has more than 40 rides with different varieties of shows, events and attractions and it will take about 9 hours to complete visiting and joining all the activities inside the theme park and their waterpark.

This resort in Johor is on its way of expanding this year (2019). They just recently opened their LEGOLAND Malaysia SEA Life Adventure for an up-close ocean experience through magical storytelling, interactive displays, and hands-on encounters.

2.    Gunung Ledang National Park


Gunung Ledang also known as “Mount Ophir” with a height of 1276m (4186 ft) high is the highest mountain in West Malaysia. This mountain is located between the border of Melaka and the state of Johor.

This mountain is popular for nature lovers, hikers, campers and other nature activities such as bird watching. Without a doubt, this is not easy to climb too, it requires ropes or aid of wooden stick to climb up the area. It takes about 5-6 hours to climb up the mountain.

The top of the mountain showcases a marvelous scenery of the strait of Melaka, and the Sumatran Coastline. It is really worth going especially for hikers.

3.    Teluk Sengat Crocodile Farm

Crocodiles are dangerous and scary animals and it is not a general type of animal that can be seen in our daily life. At Teluk Sengat Crocodile Farm, one can have the experience to have a close engagement with these carnivorous animals.

The crocodile farm has more than one thousand crocodiles under its care. Here, the guest will have the chance to touch and hold baby crocodiles and take photos with them. It will let you gain a better experience than what you have expected.

4.    DIY Playground


This incredible DIY playground is located in Batu Pahat. The rides inside the park are made out of recycled materials. The place showcases slides, see-saw, pirate ship, and others, but the most popular is their mini flying fox. Children and family members can spend at least one hour in the area.

The playground provides a variety of potential activities aside from the slides and rides which also allows the adult to play. The owner at the same time the builder of the park maintains and continually builds more rides to this place. All the rides are free and the place has a donation box to support the owner’s advocacy.

5.    Simpang Renggam Pineapple Plantation

 


This plantation is considered as one of the largest Pineapple  Plantations in Johor with an area of about 6,500 acres.  Simpang Renggam Pineapple Plantation is also known as the “Sea of Pineapples” as the place has various types of sweet and juicy pineapples.

This place is popular for a photography session that promotes tourism and culture at Simpang Renggam. The plantation is surrounded by a cornfield and several types of vegetable plantations which make additional flavor to this wonderful farmland.

6.    UK Farm


UK Farm is developed as a friendly agro-tourism farm in Kluang. The farm was established in 2013 with just 2 acres of land. In 2017, UK Farm won the Gold Award for Agro Tourism Destination by Malaysia Tourism Council.

At present, this farm is one as the largest goat and sheep farm in Malaysia with 130 acres of cropping land for 4,000 sheep. The farm is specializing in producing dairy goat products. One can experience how to live in farm life here. The place has a mini zoo, rabbit farm, passion fruit walkways, fruit farm and many more as an additional highlight when visiting this area.

8.    Pulau Tioman


Pulau Tioman has a lot of numerous coral reefs for everyone to explore for snorkeling, diving, sunset and sunrise viewing. The area is known for its dive sites, corals, sea fans and sea sponges, as well as shipwrecks.

Visitors can dive with whale sharks and a variety of fishes. However, due monsoon season, the best visiting time to Pulau Tioman for diving will only start from May until August of the year.

9.    Sri Tanjung Leisure Farm


Sri Tanjung Leisure Farm is situated in Pontian Johor. This place is full of various wildlife animals and eco-friendly activities that bring you closer to nature. The entrance ticket for an adult is only RM20 and for children is RM18.

Guests can have the chance to feed the sheep, cows, geese, and ostrich. The farm has a lot of variety of local tropical plants such as sweet potatoes, corn, flowers and many more. This is a good place for outdoor exploration for the young once to know more about agriculture.

10. Fortune Dragon

Fortune Dragon Temple is about 10 minutes drive from Yong Peng main town road. The length of the Dragon structure is 115 meters and it is the longest dragon tunnel in South East Asia. Inside the tunnel, tourists can see different Chinese characters as well as drawing about our way of life. Aside from praying, people usually visit this place for a photo shooting with friends, family members, and relatives.
