How To Use Travel Bus Pass To Reach Legoland Malaysia Resort

Legoland Malaysia Resort is one of the most visited destinations in Johor Bahru. This attraction has its own waterpark, theme park, indoor marine park, and hotel accommodation.

Legoland Malaysia Resort waterpark is known for its 20 body and tubes slide. This place is ideal for you and your family to enjoy water play with lego bricks and float at their Build-A-Raft lazy river area.

The theme park adventures here also features the Lego Kingdom, Lego Ninja World, Miniland, Lego Technics, Lego VR Coaster, Land of adventures, Lego City and other exciting rides and activities.

Legoland has also recently opened its SEA Life Malaysia where it features more than 13,000 fishes and 120 marine species on its astonishing 11 habitat zones. This indoor marine park is a good place where children can experience and interact with marine creatures.

Going to Legoland is worry-free if you are coming from Singapore with the use of Travel Bus Pass Card. With the unlimited ride on selected Causeway Link buses brought by this travel card, traveling by bus will be very simple for you to use.

You can take an unlimited free ride with those participating Causeway Link buses under the Travel Bus Pass card. Remember, when using the Travel Bus Pass you have to tap teh card every time you board the bus. A message stating “FREE RIDE” will be shown on the screen.

From Singapore via the 1st Link (Woodland Checkpoint)

A. Board The Bus at 7:30 Am

Take any Causeway Link CW1 (Kranji MRT Station), CW2 (Queen Street), or CW5 (Newton Circus) to get to Woodland Checkpoint. After Woodland Checkpoint, take the same bus to go to  Johor Bahru (JB) Customs.

B. Clear the Immigration By 9 Am

Part of a cross-border journey is clearing both the immigration offices of Singapore and Malaysia. When traveling by bus to cross the border, ensure that you have a valid visa to enter both countries. Avoid traveling on a peak hour from 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM especially during school and public holidays.

When you are inside the causeway, you don’t expect to use the same bus number. You can use any Causeway Link buses to bring you to the JB Custom area.

C. Take Causeway Link LM1 Bus Service at 9:30 AM 

After clearing the JB Customs, proceed to the bus bay area to take the Causeway Link LM1  bus service only. The bus is available at around 9:15 AM to 9:30 AM depending on the road condition. You are advised to be at the bus bay area for at least 15 minutes before bus departure time.

They are also Causeway Link staff on the ground to assist you. If you missed the bus, you have to wait again for the next bus schedule shown below:

D. Arrival at Mall of Medini at 10:30

While inside the bus, this is an opportunity for you to rest after the long journey along the causeway. The ride is about one hour depending on the traffic congestion on that day. Upon arrival at the Mall of Medini, just walk for about 5 minutes straight to the doorstep of Legoland Malaysia Resort.

E. Lunch Inside LEGOLAND

You can take your lunch inside the park. Please remember that if you go out to any from any of the theme parks, you are not allowed to enter again.

There are also other food places around the Mall of Medini which is just beside the entrance of Legoland Malaysia Resort.

F. Exit Legoland by 4 PM and explore the area

Legoland closes at 6.00 PM but if you already visited the whole park, you can exit Legoland and explore other places inside the Mall of Medini. You can try out VRinity (VRinity is a portmanteau of Virtual Reality and infinity), you may need to take an additional 1 hour to enjoy this attraction. You can have your free and easy inside Mall of Medini and take your shopping at the BIG supermarket inside the mall.

G. Take Causeway Link LM1 bus service at 5:15

Following the bus schedule of the Causeway Link LM1 bus services, take the bus by 5:15 PM and you are expected to arrive at the JB Sentral bus bay area by 6:30 PM. Upon reaching the terminal, you can explore the two shopping malls (City Square JB or KOMTAR JBCC) for your dinner and short shopping trip before going back to Singapore via the Causeway Link bus service.

H. Cross the border back to Singapore by 9:00 PM

Proceed to CIQ JB Customs to exit Malaysia and get back to Singapore. It can be earlier like 8:00 PM depending on your choice. After clearing the immigration, you need to proceed at the CIQ bus bay area and take only Causeway Link to get a free ride. Take note that the last Causeway Link bus trip going to Singapore is at 11:00 PM.

From Singapore via the 2nd Link (Tuas Checkpoint)

Depart from any Causeway Link bus stops in Singapore. You can take Causeway Link buses from Jurong East via CW3, CW4 or CW4S;  Boonlay via CW6 or Tuas Link via CW7.

B. Clear the Immigration By 9 Am

Part of a cross-border journey is clearing both the immigration of Singapore and Malaysia. When traveling by bus to cross the border, ensure that you have a valid visa to enter the country. Avoid traveling on a peak hour from 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM especially during school and public holidays.

When you are inside the causeway, you don’t expect to use the same bus number. You can use any Causeway Link buses to bring you to CIQ 2nd Link JB Customs. The clearance fro immigration transaction here is very smooth during non-peak hours.

C. Take Causeway Link CW7L Bus Service at 9:20 AM 

After clearing the JB Customs, proceed to the bus bay area to take the Causeway Link CW7L  bus service only. The bus is available around 9:00 AM to 9.20 AM. You are advised to be at the bus bay area to 15 minutes before bus departure time.

They are also Causeway Link staff on the ground to assist you. If you missed the bus, you have to wait again for the next bus schedule shown below:

D. Arrival at Mall of Medini at 9:50 AM

While inside the bus, this is an opportunity for you to rest after the long journey along the Causeway. The ride is about 20-30 minutes depending on the traffic congestion on that day. Upon arrival at the Mall of Medini, you can walk for about 5 minutes straight to the doorstep of Legoland Malaysia Resort.

But if you are still early, take this chance to mingle around teh Mall of Medini. All the parks in Legoland Malaysia Resort open from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

E. Lunch Inside LEGOLAND

You can take your lunch inside the park. Please remember that if you go out to any from those parks of Legoland Malaysia Resort, you are not allowed to enter again.

There are also other food places around the Mall of Medini which is just beside the entrance of Legoland Malaysia Resort.

F. Exit Legoland at around 5:00 PM and explore the area

Legoland closes at 6.00 PM but if you already visited the whole place, you can exit the Legoland and explore other places inside the Mall of Medini. You are also advised to take your early dinner in Mall of Medini before heading back to Singapore via the 2nd Link area.

G. Take Causeway Link CW7L bus service at 6:20

Following the bus schedule of Causeway Link CW7L bus services, take the 6:20 PM time and you are expected to arrive at the JB CIQ Second Link by around 7:10 PM. If you missed the bus, Causeway Link has a counter inside the Mall of Medini for any inquiries about the next bus arrival for you to take going to CIQ 2nd Link.

H. Cross the border at 7:30 

Upon arrival to the CIQ 2nd Link, it will lead you to proceed to the immigration clearance to exit Malaysia and lead you to the bus bay are to wait for the bus heading to Singapore checkpoint via the Tuas causeway.

You can use any Causeway Link cross-border buses to reach Singapore. Just remember about the final destination of each bus route.  Causeway Link  CW3, CW4 or CW4S go to Jurong East,  Causeway Link CW6 go to  Boonlay and Causeway Link  CW7 goes to Tuas Link.

      To get to Legoland Malaysia Resort from Singapore, you are advised to take a bus or train to Jurong East Bus Interchange in Singapore and take any Causeway Link (CW3, CW4, or CW4S) to get to JB via the Tuas Checkpoint and take the Causeway Link CW7L from CIQ Second Link after the Malaysia Customs to get straight to the doorstep of Mall of Medini (just about 2 minutes walk to the entrance of Legoland Malaysia Resort).
